I was asked by a friend who worked in ELLE Magazine Indonesia to be featured on one of their lovely pages, which is by the way, is all my pleasure as well as an honour of course. So without a doubt in my mind I said the big YES. As the article is about girls from several cities with fashion interests, they put me up to style myself in British Preppy style.
On the first shoot, I picked out a coat as an outerwear from one of Indonesian local brands, paired up with Miss Selfridge embroidered country style plaid shirt with tiny ruffles as a detail and an embroidered denim mini skirt. To finish the whole look, I put on an unbranded black socks that peeked out from my unbranded boots and chose a red Phillip Lim for the bag of choice and I put on a black bowler hat – I didn’t remember where I got it from. Braided my hair and the make up I used is all natural make up look.
For the second look, I chose a light beige trench coat from also an Indonesian local clothing brand. As a top, I went with a pleated details Topshop chiffon blouse and a grey high waist linen trouser. Still with the same footwear attire and bowler hat, I chose an embroidered Miss Selfridge clutch bag.
The third look is almost the same with the second one, except that I changed my inner wear with an oversized powdery blush buttoned down shirt and a formal jogger. I changed my bag into a pink Bottega Veneta sling bag.
For the final look, I went to be more fun. I put on a printed bomber jacket in shades of pastel baby colours. With still, the bowler hat in tact and still wearing the same shirt and jogger pants, I wore my pink socks that peeked out from my silver platform brogue shoes ! The last one is so kiddish but fun and still appropriate for a girl my age, right ?
So there we go, my stake on British Preppy look which I called : BRITPREP ! LOL !
