People often ask me what my personal style is. To be honest, I can never really tell. I love to play around with my outfit and style myself randomly, and the horizon of my fashion sense just keeps on getting wider. Just like my relationship with fashion brands, I can never really tell which one is my favourite. Whatever looks good and interesting, I will try it on.
Bangkok, Thailand has always been one of my most favourite destination to travel for a weekend getaway. Not only the plane tickets are affordable, there are a lot of hotel accommodations that offer clean and interesting places to stay and with the BTS train stops all over Bangkok that avoids the constant traffic jam, visiting Bangkok has been made easy for travellers.
One of my to-do list while visiting this city is of course, shopping. With endless selections of shops, from street stalls, small stores and big brands, Bangkok has a lot to offer. Just be really careful if you are keen to buy from local shops, sometimes the cutting is not precisely made, like somehow the right sleeve is tighter than the left one, so can you imagine how uncomfortable it would be and a total loss of money. You also need to bargain and if possible, try things on. That is how you survive the Bangkok clothing markets with goodies that you can actually wear at the end of the day.
Selectively on some stores, I can spot some great finds with long lasting good materials. Like this printed tie dye top that I accidentally found in some Bangkok Weekend Market ( more on this later on ). Made from a thinly fabricated soft cotton, the fabric is cooling to my skin and a total summer outfit. Made uneven with cropped front part and the long tail for the back part, this is one of my statement outfit, yet comfortable and effortless. Light weighted, the material provides flowing movements.
What better way to style this top is with a denim shorts. I chose my TOPSHOP embroidered shorts with high waist cut and BERSHKA lace up military boots for edgier vibe. Tagging along my versatile black BALENCIAGA bag and a pair of hoop earrings with black marble detail on each earring, I put my hair up in a top knot and let the rest of them fall to my shoulders. For day to day activities, I choose my make up to be light and natural.
Movements allowed on this outfit of course. I think I will call this look as an edgy bohemian style.
Busy with another event of fashion market with my local brand participating, I can stand and walking around all day, in style and in the comfort reassurance ! Check @unfairytaleme and @something.good.id on instagram for sure.
Hope this post is one of your cup of tea, people. Oh wait, it IS Friday ! How bout a Gin and Tonic instead ? LOL !
With love, S.
