It was end of July, and I didn’t think to fly home to Bali just yet, I was going to do a lot of work in Java. But in one fortunate afternoon, a text came in. Regina, a friend of mine, invited me to her fashion show. Establishing a local brand in Bali is not easy, but she managed to create a local brand clothing line with her husband, what can I say ? I think they’re in my relationship-goal couple hit list.
So, the artistic couple work together in sync producing a brand in which Reg is the one who designs all of the clothes, while Rik is the one who deals with the illustrations of the fabric materials. Rik’s been doing a lot of illustration works and they’re all so hype and so cool. Clearly, the fashion show was fun and cheerful, like their kind and joyful personalities. There were no models looking tight and unhappy walking rigidly by the book. All of them were bouncing, smiling, strutting and having fun. All of the guests were friendly and fun. Ended up by a bit of a party and DJ’s playing all kinds of girl power songs from my teenage years such as : Baby One More Time – Britney Spears, What a Girl Wants – Christina Aguilera, All I Have – J.LO and all that. Afterwards, there were many of newer songs from Dua Lipa and Bruno Mars. Great DJ indeed.
Cocktails wise ? My friend Edward, the legendary bartender, did all the cocktails and it was all good. A great weekend spent in Bali with friends and new friends. And it was a great temporary goodbye for me to this paradise.
Back to work.
Bali is a great place to meet people from all over the world. I made most of my friends there. With different backgrounds and cultures, also the fashion and styles, I learned a lot. I’m always excited to meet new people. Age differences are never an issue here. If you’re friendly and great to hang out with, you’ll end up with a new crew for your life. Have fun and enjoy Bali, it’s the best place to dance your youth away 🙂
I was a bit confused about my outfit. So I picked up this flowy, gorgeous, chiffon, pleated dress which is so colourful and cheery, so it suited the summer theme alright accompanied with the red bumbag. All from TOPSHOP. I was worried about the low V neck, but turned out even though I was dancing and jumping through the night, my boobs were all saved in place HAHA LOL. Fashion rule for me, no nipples showing. So I used a nipple pasties from LA SENZA. Shoes ? Comfort first. Picked the chunky FILA disruptor so I could be a teensy bit taller. Accessories were from Bamboo Blonde. All gold.
So, the bumbag, the one that I used was in red, I couldn’t find the red one on the web, but it’s the same with the black one precisely. The only thing different is the colour. The ultimate dress on the right, my favourite this year, of course, the ruffle pleated plunge dress. And Fila Disruptor all white. Here’s the look that I chose.
Have a pleasant day ! Love, S.
